I Am Opening My Strength Of Will To God
I Am Studying How To Submit My Will-Power To Jesus
Jesus, help me answer “yes” to the question I face in the second step into The Six Biblical Principles. Empower me to be willing to STUDY the Bible. Teach me that the Bible isn’t written like any other book; help me understand that it was caused to be written by God. Help me see that He knows how to transform my life rather than just teach me some information. Teach me that the way it was written is supernatural; and, the power behind its writings are supernatural. Teach me that STUDY in the Biblical sense, takes on an entirely different meaning. I have to believe secular training books are telling me the truth; and, show me that, that is required of me in the Bible. But, make it clear to me that I have to yield to Your faith to believe that and to believe one more thing. I must believe its words are transforming me.
Jesus, teach me the principles in this verse: Rom 10:8 (NIV) But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: My mouth and my heart are controlling my results as I STUDY. Help me see that, this isn’t the way it works in the secular world. BUT, show me that, THAT IS the way it works in the spiritual world. Help me understand that the first time I was exposed to these verses, I had no idea what was about to happen to me. Nothing had ever been offered to me through such a simple but powerful system.
Jesus, teach me the principles in this verse: Rom 10:9 (NIV) That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. I did this simple little exercise and instantly I became a child of God, a member of His family, and a citizen of His Kingdom. Help me see that nothing could be simpler; and nothing could be more powerful. I joined God’s world just by using my mouth and my heart. But, help me see that what is often neglected is, a lot of Christians aren’t taught that all the Scriptures in the Bible are like this. I can spend the rest of my Christian life looking for how to obey all the instructions the Bible gives.
Jesus, teach me the principles in this verse: Rom 10:10 (NIV) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Teach me that the Bible is a Book of power, creation, and transformation. It does give me instructions; but, that is just information. It is vital information; but, it isn’t the objective of the Bible. It isn’t until I take the information and allow it to become a part of who I am and what I do, that it has reached its objective.

MY STRENGTH
I Am Submitting My Will-Power To Jesus Through Study
Jesus, my problem, like everone else is, I believe things that aren’t true. Help me see that when that happens, my will-power is mislead and makes decisions based on false information. I had a purpose, a goal, a plan, and a strategy laid out; but, I couldn’t accomplish it because I was misinformed. Take me through a process where I can submit my will to You. Let this bring me into truths that make sure I not only get the correct information, my will-power will be empowered by You.

A Philippians 4:8 Controlled Will-Power
Phil 4:8 (NIV) Finally, brothers, whatever is TRUE, whatever is NOBLE, whatever is RIGHT, whatever is PURE, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is ADMIRABLE--if anything is EXCELLENT or PRAISEWORTHY--think about such things.
Jesus, make it clear to me that it is impossible for my heart and mind to keep me properly informed on my own. Let it be easy for me to see that this takes making sure I am getting my information THROUGH You. If I apply The Six Biblical Principles and start STUDYING to get my information by You taking me through Philippians 4:8, my will-power will be able to function based on facts.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is TRUE
Jesus, help me not guess that something is TRUE; help me not get my information from unreliable sources; help me not allow information to be accepted that I haven’t checked with You about; and, help me not use my will-power on information where I am trying to convince myself and others that it is TRUE. Empower me to know for a fact that what I believe to be true is TRUE, BEFORE I use my will-power to make a decision.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is NOBLE
Jesus, help me use my will-power to get NOBLE information. Teach me that it is information that represents or demonstrates fine personal qualities or high moral principles and ideals. Let my will-power be locked into that which is right, good, and righteous. Help me then make my decisions and act on things that are beneficial, win/win, and helpful. Help my will-power to be exercised on plans that are honest, filled with integrity, and moral. But, teach me thatI won’t be able to automatically use my will-power on things that are righteous and noble. Help me be on the watch for situations where I face things that will challenge me. They will try to keep me from acting on honest, moral, and righteous principles. Help me think about ways to avoid taking wrong, bad, and evil actions, as I go about my day so I won’t mess up.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is RIGHT
Jesus, teach me that right, as opposed to wrong, can often be something I did that was wrong accidentally. However, help me understand that good deeds, as opposed to bad ones, or righteous deeds, as opposed to evil ones, are actions I took on purpose. Show me that not every action I take has to do with righteousness or sin; it can be a wrong action; but, it won’t be a bad or evil one. Teach me that God doesn’t just deal with sin and righteousness, He also deals with what is best for me and those around me. He wants me and others to experience His very best. Help me yield my words and deeds to God’s best; help me not settle for plans, goals, or strategies that are mediocre.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is PURE
Jesus, make it clear to me that when something is PURE, it isn’t mixed with anything else. Help me see that in that case, my deeds won’t have some parts of them that are honest, loving, moral, and righteous and also have parts that are dishonest, unloving, immoral, and unrighteous. Help me not have any of my deeds be mostly right, good, and righteous; help them not be almost pure; but, them have a little bit of something that keeps them from being the very best for me and those around me. Purify my actions so that every aspect of them are right, good, and righteous.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is LOVELY
Jesus, teach me that an action that inspires love is LOVELY; it is a yielding to actions that help and assist me in loving myself, others, and God. Teach me that there are also actions that are based on hate, disrespect, revenge, and all kinds of wrong, bad, and evil. Show me that the production of a lovely word or deed requires that I plan, come up with feelings, and consider ways for demonstrating love for someone. Help me understand that it is a desire that sets me on a path that is based on me wanting to love a person; You use it to give me a plan that demonstrates that I love them; and it is based on the fact that I have started to feel love for them.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is ADMIRABLE
Jesus, teach me that a deed that is worthy of ADMIRATION is a deed that I can honor, be pleased with, and can consider worthy of investing my life in. Help me see that it is a form of behaving that has high qualities, good attitudes and character, and is a valuable way of producing more quality deeds. Show me that if it is ADMIRABLE, it is worth concentrating on, meditating on, and developing into actions, words, habits, and lifestyles.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is EXCELLENT
Jesus, teach me that a deed that is EXCELLENT, is a deed that excels to the highest levels of quality. If my actions are EXCELLENT, then I am devoting them to the very best types of accomplishments. I am allowing You to give me plans that are God-sized, supernatural, and holy. They are actions that are bigger, better, and superior to any kind of deed I, as a human, could make. Teach me that this requires me to submit my will-power to Your will-power.

My Will-Power Is DESIRING What Is PRAISEWORTHY
Jesus, I can do mundane, boring, common, and uneventful things. Or, I can allow You to help me do things that really motivate me to set goals, make plans, and take actions that are PRAISEWORTHY. Since God, the Holy Spirit is inside me, help me let Him guide me into words and deeds that produce incredibly wonderful, helpful, considerate, and loving plans and accomplishments. Help me do benevolent things that are quite amazing. Let them be actions that help me reach my highest potential in righteousness.

My Philippians 4:8 STUDY
Jesus, use this kind of STUDY to help me find out what all is available to my heart, my mind, and my will. As I am exposed to these principles, let them open me to a way of feeling, thinking, and acting that brings great results to me. Help me see that information, concepts, principles, thoughts, decisions, and actions don’t always fall into these categories. When they don’t, they hurt me and those around me. Help me pour over these truths until You are able to help me live my life based on these principles.
