Jesus, help me join You in wanting all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of The Truth (1 Tim 2:4). Fill me with this knowledge of The Truth so my belt of truth not only protects me, it also helps protect others. Let them get their belt of truth on through the knowledge of The Truth.

Jesus, help me be like Paul, and be a servant of God and an apostle of You, my Jesus Christ. Let me be a special messenger for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of The Truth that leads to godliness (Titus 1:1).

Jesus, help me not deliberately keep on sinning after I have received the knowledge of The Truth, because no sacrifice for sins is left (Heb 10:26).

Jesus, now that I have purified myself by obeying The Truth so that I have sincere love for my brothers, help me love one another deeply, from my heart (1 Pet 1:22).

Jesus, always remind me of these things, even though I know them and am firmly established in The Truth that I now have (2 Pet 1:12).

Jesus, if I claim to be without sin, I deceive myself and The Truth is not in me. But, if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just and will forgive me my sins and purify me from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:8-9).

Jesus, thank You for writing me a new command; its truth is seen in You and me, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. But, if I claim to be in the light but hate my brother I am still in the darkness (1 John 2:8-9). Keep me from this darkness by keeping me from hatred.

Jesus, help me not be a part of those who went out from other Christians, but they did not really belong to Your family. For if they had belonged to Your family, they would have remained with Your family; but their going showed that none of them belonged to Your family. Let me be one of those who have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of us know The Truth (1 John 2:19-20).

Jesus, You did’t cause John to write to me because I do not know The Truth, but because I do know it and because no lie comes from The Truth (1 John 2:21). Thank You for letting this be written to me and help it always be true of me.

Jesus, help me not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how I know that I belong to The Truth, and how I set my heart at rest in Your presence (1 John 3:18-19).

Jesus, I am from God, and whoever knows God listens to You and Your people; but whoever is not from God does not listen to You and them. This is how I recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood (1 John 4:6). Keep me in the Spirit of truth and protect me from the spirit of falsehood.

Jesus, make me faithful in what I am doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to me. Let them tell the church about my love. Let me always send Your people on their way in a manner worthy of God. It was for the sake of The Name that Your people went out, receiving no help from the pagans. Help me therefore to show hospitality to such men so that I may work together for The Truth (3 John 1:5-8).

Jesus, make me like Demetrius who was well spoken of by everyone--and even by The Truth itself. Let me also speak well of people like him, and let Your people know that my testimony is true (3 John 1:12).
