Jesus, help me be self-controlled and alert. because my enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Pet 5:8). Teach me that praying to be delivered from the evil one produces principles in my life that I can use to overcome Satan. Teach me that this deliverance is the power to defeat his efforts; help me understand that it isn’t going to keep him away. Use this prayer to give me the power and the Biblical equipment to keep him from being able to damage or hurt me.

Jesus, empower me to submit myself, then, to God. Then empower me to resist the devil, and he will flee from me (James 4:7). Help me accept the assignment in James 4:7 to first “submit myself, then, to God.” Then after that help me be ready to “resist the devil.” Help me accept the assignment in 1 Pet 5:8 to “be self-controlled and alert.” Use The Lord’s Prayer to give me the power to “be self-controlled and alert,” the power to “submit myself, then, to God,” and to “resist the devil.” Show me that without this prayer, I would lack the power to do these things.

Jesus, let praying this portion of this prayer give me the power to “put on the full armor of God so that I can take my stand against the devil’s schemes (Eph 6:11).” Teach me the verse just before this one that tells me to “be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Eph 6:10).” Teach me how I am supposed to be able to do this. Teach me that the answer remains in the ask, seek, knock principle; and that, that principle is fulfilled in The Lord’s Prayer; show me that it gives me the power I need to obey the Bible’s instructions.

Jesus, show me what would happen if I didn’t STUDY the Bible and find out about all these things that are available to me. Help me understand that I would be ignorant of wonderful provisions God gave me because I am His child. Help me understand what would happen if I studied and found out about them but didn’t PRAY and ask God for the power to apply them. Help me see that I would be informed but not empowered. Show me what would happen if I studied and prayed but didn’t look to You for the faith so I could BELIEVE these provisions of God are in me. Make it clear to me that I would be informed and empowered, but wouldn’t know they were ready to be used.

Jesus, being delivered from Satan is my heart’s desire. So I now pray these words and say: “Deliver us from the evil one.” Now help me add any additional prayers and let me pray over any additional Scriptures that You feel will help me resist the devil and win over him.

Jesus, thank You for helping me ask my heavenly Father to help me live the victorious Christian life in a better way today. Make it clear to me that He is now answering my prayers as I start my day. Help me be looking for the good things that God will be sending my way, as I continue to pray this DAILY prayer.

Jesus, I received power when the Holy Spirit came on me; now I will be Your witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).” Help me remember how Romans 7:23 said my body would be able to overpower my will and make me a prisoner. But, teach me that Romans 8:13 says I can work together with the Holy Spirit and win against my body. This is because the Holy Spirit gives me power to do what I couldn’t do on my own.

Jesus, empower me to listen to the thoughts and feelings that pop up in my mind and heart from the Holy Spirit. Help me understand that, that will give me more ideas on what I need to pray for. Then guide me into finding the Scriptures that match up with those thoughts and feelings and jot them down. Then let me find the segment of The Lord’s Prayer where those Scriptures fit into Your prayer. Then help me pray over the Scriptures through Your prayer.

Jesus, thank You for being committed to helping me experience all the blessings and provisions of God. Show me that the main problems I will run into have been covered in these Prayer Courses. If I need to go back and read over any of these courses, show me which one You want me to review.
