Jesus, empower me to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than myself. Help me look not only to my own interests, but also to the interests of others (Phil 2:3-4). Teach me that this isn’t a human assignment; this is going to take God’s power to make it happen. As I go about my day, give me a special power from God to help me make these kinds of decisions. Empower me with this special power so He and I can make this happen.

Jesus, make it clear to me that if I live according to the sinful nature, I will die; but if BY the Spirit I put to death the misdeeds of the body, I will live, BECAUSE those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God (Rom 8:13-14). Teach me that this is FAITH-ACTION; this is me joining You through the Holy Spirit and winning over my body. In FAITH-ACTION I have used The Three Keys To All Christianity and five of The Six Biblical Principles to bring me to the place where You and I are ready to live out a Biblical principle. When I get to this place of FAITH-ACTION, I am ready for results, success, and The Victorious Christian Life.

Jesus, help me see that You aren’t expecting ME to submit my body to You using human effort OR world training. Show me that NOTHING I learned about how to succeed in the world will work in Christianity. Help me see that EVERYTHING I learned in the world involved the skills, abilities, talents, resources, and effort of humans. Either I or some other human had to do whatever I needed done. Teach me that Christianity is all about God and I; help me see that I am being taught by You, how to have a close relationship with my heavenly Father. You are teaching me how to live as a spirit being and as a child of God.

Jesus, help me understand this simple example of how things work in the spirit realm: Mat 17:19-20 (NIV) Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have FAITH as small as a mustard seed, you can SAY to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Teach me that it wouldn’t take years, a lot of earth-moving machinery, and millions of dollars to do it. I would just stand there and tell it to move and it would move! Help me understand that there would have to be a lot of spiritual things in place for this to happen; but, this is what I am being prepared and trained for.

Jesus, help me see that if I DESIRED to show off and demonstrate my spiritual power by telling a mountain to move, it would be an embarrasing momement; I was DESIRING the wrong thing. Show me that if I DECIDED to go command a mountain to move, it wouldn’t do it. But, help me see that if I knew how to hear God’s voice, was in a child-like spiritual condition, and God TOLD me to go move the mountain, it would move. It would move just by me speaking to it and telling it to move. Teach me that if all the spiritual truths and principles are in place in my life, nothing will be impossible for me. Teaching me how to have the right DESIRES so nothing will be impossible for me.

Jesus, make it clear to me that I may be one of the most consciencous, determined, dedicated students in the world. I may have been able to push, drive, and force myself to STUDY and get some of the best grades of all students. BUT, help me see that NONE of those characteristics are going to help me in Christianity. As a matter of fact, they may turn out to be my worst nightmare. Mat 18:3 (NIV) And He said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” But, help me realize that by ASKING, SEEKING, And KNOCKING, You will empower me to not only STUDY the Bible, You will work through the Holy Spirit and empower me to understand it.

Jesus, make it clear to me that if I have great people skills, know how to negotiate, manipulate, convince, and sell people on things, and can TYPICALLY get anything I want, NONE of that will work on God. I won’t be able to out think Him, out argue Him, or be able to manipulate Him. Teach me that He is only interested in me receiving good; He is only interested in a love relationship with me. Help me understand that He won’t do business with me, negotiate with me, or let me run the relationship. Help me learn how to respect and love my heavenly Father. Show me that He plans on giving me incredible opportunities in eternity. He wants to provide me with great power and authority. But, help me see that He wants me to be praying and asking for those things I need now so I will be ready for all that responsibility in eternity.

Jesus, make it clear to me that I may have incredible faith in myself; I may be one of the most confident people on the planet. I may have been able to do some of the most incredible things that any human has ever done. I may have the most money, possessions, positions, power, prestige, popularity, pleasure, and accomplishments that any human has ever produced and accumulated. But, help me realize that until I lay it all down and allow my heavenly Father to tell me the truth about life, I will fail here and in eternity. Help me properly look at all God has given me, help me be able to see His generosity, honesty, and integrity. Speak faith into me for those things that my heavenly Father has decided are good for me. Then help me see that I will be able to BELIEVE that I have that thing God wanted me to have.

Jesus, make it clear to me that I may have been a very generous, giving person all of my life. I may have helped more people than anyone else. I may have been so generous that I don’t have all that much myself; I may have given it all away. But, unknown to me, my heart has required payment for all that generosity. It may only be a desire for a little appreciation, a small complement, or a little bit of reciprocation. But, there has always been something I was trying to get out of my generosity. Teach me that it isn’t until I expect NOTHING in return that I get eternal credit for my love and care. Show me that God isn’t going to make me a doormat for people to walk on; but, He does require me to only involve myself in win/win situations.

Jesus, make it clear to me that once You have helped, trained, and empowered me to take advantage of The Six Biblical Principles, I will see incredible things start happening in my life. But, help me see that it is going to take a lot of ASKING, SEEKING, And KNOCKING before I am able to have godly DESIRES, STUDIES, PRAYERS, BELIEF, LOVE, and FAITH-ACTION. Help me see that it has taken quite a journey for me to get to this concept of FAITH-ACTION. AND, it has taken a lot of applying The Three Keys To All Of Christianity. But, show me that I get to FAITH-ACTION while learning to have a close and intimate relationship with God.

Jesus, help me notice that The Six Biblical Principles aren’t about me getting what I think I need. It is about me learning that only God knows what is best for me. But, help me understand that if I don’t BELIEVE that, I won’t like applying The Three Keys To All Of Christianity. I won’t be willing to take advantage of The Six Biblical Principles. I may want to go back to going after those things I think I need. Keep me from feeling like I am missing out on things that would really bless, prosper, and bring me into success. But, teach me that there is ONE THING I need to realize: Those things I get outside of God WILL have LONGTERM side effects that will hurt, damage, and may even destroy me. Teach me that the ONLY reason God won’t give me something IS because it won’t END UP being good for me.
