I Am Opening My Mind To God
I Am Studying How To Submit My Thoughts To Jesus
Jesus, lead me into the second step into The Six Biblical Principles which is typically STUDY. But, make it clear to me that STUDY in this case is a process of learning Your truths. Then I will know the truth, and the truth will set me free (John 8:32). Teach me that the first step into being set free from things that are hurting me and those around me is to KNOW THE TRUTH. Help me understand that knowing the truth WON’T set me free; but, it is my first step into the truth setting me free. Help me understand that being set free by the truth takes all six of The Six Biblical Principles. Show me that STUDY helps me find out what Your truth is. But, if I find out what it is and don’t DESIRE it, PRAY for it, BELIEVE it is truth, LOVE others enough to share it with them, and take FAITH-ACTION and live on the basis of the fact that I HAVE been set free by it, I won’t be set free.
Jesus, help me understand that my brain and MIND can be reasoned with. Let me see that STUDY makes it possible for You to give me a convincing argument for a truth. If my MIND accepts it as a truth, it can embrace it and allow it to start setting me free. Use this textbook to help me understand what You want me to learn; and, use it to convince me of certain truths. Make it clear to me that if I am unable or unwilling to allow You to give me the understanding and give me the DESIRE, the prayers in the workbook won’t be based on truth nor will they be sincere. I now pray and ask You to help me be open to the purpose of the textbook today. I ask You to help me understand the subject I am STUDYING and help me receive a DESIRE to get it into my life.

I Am Submitting My Mind To Jesus
Luke 24:45 (NIV) Then He (Jesus) opened their MINDS so they could understand the Scriptures. Jesus, help me understand that STUDY is useless without Your power-understanding being put in me. Help me always keep in mind that I have the Holy Spirit inside me; He wants to guide me into all truths. John 16:13-14 (NIV) But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into ALL truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to Me by taking from what is Mine and making it known to you. Help me see that STUDY is a very important thing for my brain and MIND. But, show me that WHAT I STUDY makes all the difference as to what I store in my brain and what I expose my MIND to.

I Am Getting My Mind Healed
I Am Being Exposed To Supernatural Things
Luke 24:38 (NIV) He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your MINDS? Jesus, the world has trained me to only believe what I can prove with my five senses. If it doesn’t make sense to me, then I have a hard time believing it. So, now that I am entering into God’s world, I am being exposed to Bible truths that are very different and much more supernatural than I am used to. Show me that this takes me into suspicion, caution, skepticism, doubt, resistance, and evaluation. Teach me that my brain and mind are much weaker and limited than God and His truths. Many of His truths are way over my head; I don’t have any point of reference to compare them to. So, as I weigh the Bible’s information using my brain and mind, help me NOT reject the truth.

I Am Being Exposed To Familar Terms
Jesus, empower me to make up my mind not to worry beforehand how I will defend myself (Luke 21:14). Teach me that this familiar term, “make up your mind” has a different meaning in the Bible. I have done this lots of times as a human; however, help me understand that if I use my human training, human effort, and human experiences to “make up my mind,” in Christianity I will fail this assignment. Teach me that for me to “make up my mind” in Christianity I must submit it to You; and, to do that I will have to use a TOTALLY different system. Show me that it is the system I have been learning throughout these studies.

I Am Using A Familiar System
Jesus, make it clear to me that You won’t empower me to “make up my mind”, if I don’t DESIRE You to. You won’t help me “make up my mind” if I don’t STUDY the Scriptures that guide me into making it up on the right truths. You won’t help me “make up my mind” if I don’t PRAY and ask You to. You won’t help me “make up my mind” if I don’t BELIEVE You have empowered me to do it. You won’t help me “make up my mind” if I don’t LOVE people enough to show them how to “make up their mind.” You won’t help me “make up my mind” if I don’t take FAITH-ACTION and live on the basis of the fact that You have empowered me to “make up my mind.”

I Am Replacing World Training
Mark 8:33 (NIV) But when Jesus turned and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter. “Get behind Me, Satan!” He said. “You do not have in MIND the things of God, but the things of men.” Jesus, help me understand that Peter was using his world training and his human way of thinking. So, when he tried to talk You into not going to the cross, he was way off base. Teach me that things that make perfect sense to me can be TOTALLY wrong. Make it clear to me that it isn’t until I allow You to crowd out my human and world training that I see things like they really are. It will be like I have been living in total darkness and have finally had the light turned on.
Jesus, teach me the truths of Luke 8:16-17 (NIV): No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.
