I Am Loving Myself, Others, And God
Enough To Submit My Thoughts To Jesus
Jesus, lead me through the fifth step into The Six Biblical Principles which is typically LOVE. Teach me that there are two major types of LOVE; one comes through me allowing myself to see the problems and difficulties of others; that is human love. The other major type comes from God. It is very powerful; it empowers me to LOVE in a win/win type of relationship. Rather than me LOVING someone so as to make me feel better about myself, help me LOVE them with God’s LOVE. Let that help me actually feel how they feel.
Jesus, hope does not disappoint me, because God has poured out HIS LOVE into my heart by the Holy Spirit, Whom He has given me (Rom 5:5). Teach me that God’s love has power to help me love myself, others, and God in a way that is humanly impossible. Show me that I would have to be on my guard all the time to try to LOVE myself, others, and God with even a small amount of respect, care, and sympathy. My own concerns about my wellbeing, my needs, and my wants would keep trying to slip into my motivations. But, teach me that with God’s LOVE, I will find a power that is constantly helping me WANT to do the right things.

I Am Submitting My Mind To Jesus Through Love
Mark 12:30 (NIV) Love the Lord your God with all your HEART and with all your SOUL and with all your MIND and with all your STRENGTH. Jesus, up until now, You have been emphasizing my HEART, SOUL, MIND, and STRENGTH; but, teach me that the major theme of this verse is LOVE. If I am going to LOVE God with all of me, then I am going to need a power that is superior to my own. Show me that, that is why God gave me His LOVE the moment I received salvation and justification.

Since I Have God’s Love
Jesus, teach me that loving God with ALL my MIND is the major process of submitting it to You. Teach me that LOVE is the reason for why I do what I do. If I am motivated by hate, then that is why I am feeling, thinking, saying, and doing the things I am living out. Show me that there is an emotional aspect to LOVE that comes out of my heart. God’s love was actually poured out in my heart: God has poured out HIS LOVE into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. However, help me understand that God is requiring me to allow it to influence my MIND. Love the Lord your God with all your...MIND.

My Reasons For Loving
1 John 4:20 (NIV) If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. Jesus, help me see that this is a verse that is reasoning with my mind; show me that it is designed to help me think this issue over and see the logic in it. As the Bible reasons with me, show me that its main objective is to help me become willing to see the importance of loving myself, other people, and God. Then it spends time helping me see HOW to go about loving myself, other people, and God.

I Am Thinking About Myself
Mat 7:12 (NIV) So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Jesus, help me see that this requires me to stop and think, “would I want someone thinking, feeling, saying, or doing that to me?” If I am involved in something I wouldn’t like being done to me, then help me submit my MIND in that area to You. Mark 12:31 (NIV) The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Help me always consider how I would like people to demonstrate their love to me.

I Am Thinking About The Bible And Jesus
John 14:15 (NIV) If you love Me, you will obey what I command. John 15:12 (NIV) My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Jesus, if there is an area of my life where I want to be loved in a way that is a sin, help me NOT feel like I am loving my neighbor as myself. Teach me that God’s love, that He has given me, sees love through the window of the Bible. Make it clear to me that all sins have damage they do to me and others on a long term basis. It may look like it is love in the begining; but, help me see that it will have wrong, bad, and evil consequences in the long run. Give me Your interpretation of me loving my neighbor as myself. And, give me your interpretation of me doing to others what I would have them do to me.

I Am Submitting My Mind To Jesus
Jesus, help me always keep in mind that I actually have God’s love already; teach me that the way for me to submit my mind to You through love is a process of yielding. Since I have it, empower me to yield to it; and, teach me how to yield to it. As I am going through my day, help me make the right decision as to what I will allow to motivate me. Help me ask You, AT THAT MOMENT, to empower me to yield to God’s love; help me NOT just do what I think is best. Teach me that this is a moment-by-moment, issue-by-issue decision as to whether I ask You or I consult my MIND.
