Jesus, WHEN You come in Your glory, and all the angels with You, You WILL sit on Your throne in heavenly glory. All the nations WILL be gathered before You, and You WILL separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. You WILL put the sheep on Your right and the goats on Your left. Empower me and teach me all that it takes to not only be on Your right, but, to be there with the very best accomplishments.

Then You WILL say to those on Your right, “Come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited Me in, I needed clothes and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you came to visit Me (Mat 25:31-36).” Show me how to best accomplish this work in the most people’s lives. Teach me Your Scriptures that help me take advantage of the helmet of salvation so I will be able to live this kind of life and will be able to help the most people live it to the very best.

Jesus, no one has known Your mind so that he may instruct You. But I have Your mind (1 Cor 2:16). Teach me that this doesn’t mean I will think everything You think and feel. It means I can think these things if I will yield to You. Show me that the man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2:14). Thank You for taking me from this condition to being able to know, understand, and apply Your teachings; this came by me getting Your mind.

Jesus, help me not call You, “Lord, Lord,” and do not do what You say (Luke 6:46)? Help me take advantage of the helmet of salvation so Your thoughts and feelings pour into me; let Your truths transform my life. Empower me to live principles that help me to live it and be able to teach others how to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, befriend strangers, clothe those needing clothing, and visit the sick and imprisoned. If I yield to You and Your principles by wearing my helmet of salvation, then I know how to help everyone get their needs met for the rest of their lives. And, I will know how to teach others to do the same. In other words, we will all be living it.

Jesus, the man who has settled the matter in his own mind, who is under no compulsion but has control over his own will, and who has made up his mind not to marry the virgin--this man also does the right thing (1 Cor 7:37). Show me in this example how I can do the right things and help others do them. Help me make the right decisions on marriage, business, friendships, conflicts, problems, and circumstances; help me do this so I can win at life. This only happens when I have the truths of God flowing into my mind and heart through the helmet of salvation.

Jesus, help me accept and respond to this appeal: Help me aim for perfection, listen to this appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with me (2 Cor 13:11). The world’s system has puts me in conflict with most of the people around me. I argue and fight with the people I love the most. I do this because I find myself in competition with them over ideas, plans, decisions, injustices, and positions. Help me realize that when I am not having conflict, I am able to work together, support others, plan together, be a team, be organized, and have unified goals.

Jesus, keep my destiny from being destruction, my god from being my stomach, and my glory from being my shame. Keep my mind from being on earthly things (Phil 3:19). When everything I do keeps falling apart, deteriorating, having to be done again, and keeps running into opposition, it causes me to enter into a rat race that enslaves me to a monetary system that dominates my life. Help me to move into Your world, so I can know that in all things God works for my good because I love Him, because I have been called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28).

And my God will meet all my needs according to His glorious riches in You, Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19). Teach me that those whose mind is on earthly things, don’t get the Romans 8:28 and Philippians 4:19 way of marriage, business, friendships, circumstances, and results. It is no wonder that the things of world training and effort don’t work. They don’t get Your wisdom, information, power, and a relationship with God. Help me always have my helmet of salvation on so I can have this incredible flow from God into my mind. It will be no wonder why I get all my needs met for the rest of my life. And, it will be no wonder why others get all their needs met for the rest of their lives.

Jesus, help me not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify me for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions (Col 2:18). Protect me from this approach to life. Help me not be a Christian that spends all my time thinking about and studying strange and weird things. Help me not try to live it by means of my own efforts and logic. Let the helmet of salvation keep me focused on all the important things in the Bible. Let it help me major on those things that are going to help me pass my final exam.

Jesus, keep me from being in constant friction between me and men of corrupt minds, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain (1 Tim 6:5). Help me not be confused about this one; help me understand that God is not against prosperity. Help me think of money, possessions, positions, power, prestige, popularity, pleasure, and accomplishments in terms of a lake or a river. If I hoard them like a lake, God will be against me. If I allow them to flow through me like a river, God will keep them flowing in and through me for the rest of my life. THAT is how I pass my final exam.
