Jesus, WHEN You come in Your glory, and all the angels with You, You WILL sit on Your throne in heavenly glory. All the nations WILL be gathered before You, and You WILL separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. You WILL put the sheep on Your right and the goats on Your left (Mat 25:31-33). Help me understand why You are so strict in Your judgments; teach me why You insist that I become a person who does what You require.

Help me take a look at what sin is doing to the current world situation: Teach me that now that sin has been introduced into this world, “there is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes (Rom 3:10-18).”

Now, Jesus, help me see what one sin can do to a world. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it (Gen 3:6). Help me understand that it all came from this one sin! Reveal to me that sin is extremely contagious, and deadly! Teach me that the helmet of salvation is designed to keep sin from destroying me.

Speak to my heart as I take a look at the future of those on Your right hand who allowed the helmet of salvation to protect their command center. Then the King will say to those on His right, “Come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world (Mat 25:34).” Help me take advantage of my helmet of salvation so I will be one of these people.

Jesus, show me Your new heaven and earth where no sin is allowed to get in. Help me have spiritual eyes so I can see Your new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. Let me see the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. Let me hear the loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away (Rev 21:1-4).” Make all this real to me.

Jesus, help me accept what would happen to a place like Your new heaven and earth, if one sin was allowed to come into it. Help me accept that one person with one sin would bring it down and destroy it. Help me understand that, that is what Adam and Eve did to this planet. Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned (Rom 5:12). As I look at the condition of this world, show me that sin entered this world and it only took one person to get it here. THEREFORE You,Jesus, cannot and will not allow one person into Your Kingdom even if they only have one sin. The whole reason why some will be left out will be because they refuse to give up and be cleansed of ALL their sins; and, that is the major reason why they CANNOT come in.

Jesus, teach me that You are not slow in keeping Your promise, as some understand slowness. You are patient with me and everyone else, not wanting ANYONE to perish, but EVERYONE to come to repentance (2 Pet 3:9). Help me stay clear on the fact that anyone and everyone can come into this new heaven and new earth; ALL they have to do is allow You to cure them of all their sins. If I and they are completely set free from all sin and remain that way until we leave this planet, we will hear You say to us, come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

Jesus, now I understand why Your eyes are on the righteous and Your ears are attentive to their prayer, but Your face is against those who do evil (1 Pet 3:12)? You provided the helmet of salvation for every person everywhere. Teach me that just as the result of one trespass through Adam was condemnation for me, so also the result of one act of righteousness through You, Jesus was justification that brings life for me (Rom 5:18). If I fail Your final exam, it will only be because I refused Your provisions and help.

For God DID NOT send You into the world to condemn me, but to save me through Him. If I believe in You, I am not condemned, but if I don’t, believe I stand condemned already BECAUSE I have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son (John 3:17-18). Since the word WHOEVER includes everyone, help me always be aware that ANYONE can come to You and be cleansed and cured of their infectious disease of sin. Then once that happens, You start teaching them Your principles so they will know how to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, befriend strangers, clothe those needing clothing, and visit the sick and imprisoned. Help me use Your principles so I will be able to do it for everyone for the rest of their lives.
