Jesus, in my INNER BEING (spirit) I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my MIND and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members (Rom 7:22-23). Teach me that my MIND is on my, a spirit being’s side; my mind is in my spirit like my heart is. But, You have convinced my MIND that You are Lord and that God has raised You from the dead. Rom 10:9-10 (NIV) That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Jesus, empower me to not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Then I will be able to test and approve what God’s will is--His good, pleasing and perfect will (Rom 12:2). Help see that I, a spirit being, need help getting my mind retrained. Show me that once my mind is renewed through Your transforming power, I will be able to test and approve what God’s will is--His good, pleasing and perfect will. Help me understand that, that gives my spirit a new freedom and liberty to live according to God’s will. Show me that You have a way of helping me retrain my mind so it is able to be renewed.

Jesus, out of Your glorious riches strengthen me with POWER through Your Spirit in my inner being (Eph 3:16). Teach me that in order for me to be able to handle the difficult assignment of getting my heart and my mind in cooperations with You, my spirit needs power. You, out of Your glorious riches will strengthen me with POWER through Your Spirit. Help me allow You to train me through Biblical principles. Show me that my job is to expose myself to these studies. Your job is to empower me with Your Word, the Bible, and through Your Holy Spirit. Teach me that my job is simple and easy; Your job is a labor of love. You WANT me to live The Victorious Christian Life.

Eph 3:17 (NIV) So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love. Jesus, I now allow You to take up residence in my heart. Help me learn how to receive Your faith spoken into my heart so I can believe. Help me continue to allow You to take me through these studies so I will grow spiritual roots that will establish me in You. Become my source of training, power, and guidance to live a victorious life.

Jesus, I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of You, Christ (Eph 3:17b-18). Teach me that there is a way for You to train and empower me so my inner being, my spirit, can start to comprehend how much You love me. Show me a type of love that will be beyond anything I have ever immagined.

Jesus, help me to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Eph 3:19). Jesus, since I am just now learning how to study spiritual things, help me see that at first I will go through these studies with You and just try to learn information. I will use my MIND to remember facts and truths. I will try to study these Biblical principles the way I learned how to study human, worldly information. I will devote my MIND to searching for how I can apply myself to making changes. I will be looking for formulas, systems, and methods that will help ME do what I need to do. But, show me that as hard as I apply myself, I will find myself inadequate for the assignment.

Jesus, teach me that there are steps I will be given that I will have to follow; but, You will lead me into looking to You for fulfilling them. Show me that little by little I will become less dependent on myself and more dependent on You. Teach me that the more I look to God for the source of my spiritual and Biblical growth, the more Christianity will start to work. I will learn how to be a child of God who knows how to live in the spirit realm.
