Mat 5:14-16 (NIV) You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Give Everyone A Chance To See
Rev 1:7 (NIV) Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be! Amen.

This can be a scary moment for everyone involved. We want this eye diseased person to be ready when Jesus comes. Sometimes we want to shake them and make them face reality. We would like to work with them until they make the right decision. However, we have a bigger problem that we have to take into account.

Mat 9:37 (NIV) Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”
John 9:4 (NIV) As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him Who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

We have to keep moving from person to person. Everyone must get a chance to make a decision concerning the light. If we give an inordinate amount of time to a few and neglect the rest, we are failing at the Great Commission. Saving them isn’t our job. Giving them the gospel is. Let’s always keep this next Scripture in mind.

1 Cor 3:7 (NIV) So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, Who makes things grow. We have to trust God with all these people and keep reaching out to more and more.
