Mat 5:21-22 (NIV) You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ (Amp: speaks contemptuously and insultingly) is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Godliness

You Thought That Was Hard!
This is not good news. Everyone thought that as long as they didn’t kill anyone they were in a good relationship with God.
Now we are finding out that the Ten Commandments were just scratching the surface. Jesus is now saying that we are in danger of judgment even when we go into continuous anger or carry a grudge. What is going on here? If we didn’t get depressed about the Pharisees not living a good enough life, this last piece of news will push us over the edge.
