Mat 5:29-30 (NIV) If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

I Can Do Without That

This is the only way we are going to be successful at remaining sinless, if we are going to do it by human effort.

There is no other way to keep ourselves from sinning as a godless person.

Even as a Christian, who refuses to let the Holy Spirit empower them, this is what it is going to take. Without God’s help, we are going to have to start removing those body parts that are causing us to sin. I don’t know about you, but, I am not looking forward to any kind of dismemberment just to stop sinning.
