Mat 6:14-15 (NIV) For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Forgiveness
As Jesus revisits the issue of forgiveness, it makes it sound like much of what we said previously was wrong. However, Jesus is just narrowing the subject into a laser beam and making it clear that we must SOMEHOW, SOME WAY forgive in order to get forgiveness.

If YOU do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
We can all feel the pressure of His finger pointing at us and pronouncing eternal damnation on us. How many people have we failed to forgive?

God has been working with those of us who are presenting these studies for years and the line of people are still passing by our minds. Is this passage saying that if there is one person somewhere we have still not truly forgiven, we will spend an eternity without God? No, it isn’t saying that, if we are Christians. Why not? Here is why not.
