Mat 7:1-2 (NIV) Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Pronouncing A Verdict
Mat 7:1 (NIV) Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

Helping people with a spiritual problem is different than judging them. Sometimes we feel we are being judged when someone points out a sin in our life. If we are doing something that the Bible says is wrong, then it is the Bible that is judging us. The person is simply helping us find out that we are already in judgment.

1 Cor 11:31-32 (NIV) But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
Regardless of how the information comes, we need to appreciate it when someone points out sins and shortcomings in our life. When that happens, it is our job to do the judging of our self. Rather than getting mad at someone who pointed it out, we need to realize how wonderful that was and start taking it before God.

If we get mad and start finding fault with those who are trying to help us, God will then be forced to discipline us. That is never enjoyable. It is much better to voluntarily take it to God for being dealt with. If God sends someone to warn us and we do nothing to correct the problem, the next step God takes will be discipline. Now let’s look at us judging someone.
