Meekness is a spiritual need for transparency. We need to let the character of God shine through our lives. People will learn to love God as they see Him represent Himself through our lives and ministries. As we get out where the people are and start living the life of Christ, they will want to be around us.

Luke 2:52 (NIV) And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

I know that everyone didn’t end up liking Jesus. Ultimately His message drove many away. However, no one could completely forget how loving and kind He was to them. The message was tough but He was wonderful. The power of God flowed through Him and blessed their lives. The reality of God’s great love became obvious to all. Many got caught between the Man and His message. Even those who didn’t want to change the way they were living still wanted to somehow fit Him into their lives.
