“And [if] My Words remain in you....” The five aspects of His Words remaining in us.

1. Knowledge: Having information stored in our human brain concerning what the Bible says.


2. Understanding: Constantly receiving interpretations from the Holy Spirit as to what the Bible means.


3. Wisdom: Always receiving training and power from Jesus as to how the interpretations are to manifest themselves in and through our life.


4. Will: An individual decision as to whether or not we are willing to allow these manifestations to take place in and through our life.


5. Life by means of the Spirit: Always allowing application of those Biblical principles by the Holy Spirit into our life because we are willing to accept the change.

A major part of remaining in Christ and Him and His words remaining in us is for us to walk with the Holy Spirit through the life of Christ in the Gospels.

It is there that we will be able to view three important parts to the Gospels.

1. The first part is Jesus’ life.


2. The second part is Jesus’ words.


3. The third part is Jesus’ methods.

The five aspects, mentioned above, help us remain in Christ. In other words if we, assisted by the Holy Spirit, spend time looking at Jesus, seeing what He said, how He lived, and what methods He used, that will help us remain in Him. The more time we spend observing His life, reading His words, and seeing how He developed and trained His disciples the more it will all become a part of our life.

The list provided above lays out the goals we need for remaining in Jesus. They list the results we can expect in our life if we do what it takes to get them. The list doesn’t, however, give the steps for getting those results. The above list of five aspects has to be broken down into actual procedures. So, let’s start breaking down the five aspects of Jesus and His words remaining in us and we will soon build or increase our intimate relationship with Him.
