Eyes Looking In The Right Direction - Continued:

Eyes Fixed On Jesus
Heb 12:2 (NIV) Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, Who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

He started the provisions of our salvation and He will be the One Who puts the final production together.
We need to keep our eyes on Him at all times. If we, like Peter, get our eyes off of Him onto the wind and the waves of life. We will sink. Life’s problems look insurmountable when observed by themselves. When fixing our eyes on Jesus, nothing looks impossible.

We are spending our time in this study fixing our eyes on Jesus’ earthly life and ministry. However, Jesus’ life and ministry on this earth isn’t all of it. He is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. As author, He did His earthly ministry. As perfecter, He presides over His Church. The Church Universal makes up the whole of the Body of Christ; past, present, and future.
