Salvation Changes What We Want
Rom 7:19 (NIV) For what I DO is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on DOING.
Those who find it desirable to go right back into sin while relying on salvation to take care of their eternity are exhibiting signs of not being baptized into Christ Jesus. Their “want to” and “not want to” hasn’t changed. In other words, they are as far from being concerned with being perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect as they could possibly be.

Jesus deals with this “WANT” issue in the Beatitudes. If we minister the Beatitudes to those we are responsible for, we will help them move from sinning so that grace may increase (Romans 6:1). Instead, they will open their heart to the training of Jesus, as the Holy Spirit takes them through Jesus’ ministry. Jesus’ ministry is total and complete. He doesn’t over emphasize one subject to the neglect of another. He doesn’t forget to cover everything we are going to need. He makes sure we are clear on all of it so we can move successfully from one level of spiritual growth to the next.
