Getting Rewards

When we do anything that is typically spiritual for the observation of others, we are wanting credit for it from people.

If we tell people how many people we share our faith with, we pray beautiful prayers, we fast for long hours or days, we do kind deeds to people, or we give a lot of money so as to be bragged on or get prestige, that bragging or prestige will be our reward. If we do any or all of that in secret, we will get an eternal reward for it. The next passage is where Jesus is going with all this.
