Let’s take a look at some lives and ministries that are constantly being influenced by the Holy Spirit. These are people who have been trained by Jesus concerning how to hear, understand, and obey the wishes of the Father on a daily basis. This first person we are going to be looking at, Philip, is a disciple of one of Jesus’ disciples. In other words, he didn’t get trained while Jesus was physically here. He learned about Jesus through the disciples Jesus trained. He was taken through the Holy Spirit training you and I are going through now; and look how he turned out.

Pay close attention to how ready the people they minister to are. Notice how God has already been working in their lives, preparing them for the message God’s people are going to present. If we follow these minister’s examples and allow God to tell us what to do, when to do it, where to do it, and to whom, we can see that our ministries will be drastically different from what we typically see. If we don’t allow God to direct us, then we will always be where people aren’t ready, telling them things they don’t want to hear, and finding ourselves feeling like no one wants God and the things of God.
