The disciple must learn that it starts with Jesus and it gets perfected with Jesus. We can’t save ourselves, we can’t sanctify ourselves, and we can’t do the ministry ourselves. We will never be able to live or minister it. Yet we will live it very successfully and minister it with great power.

Gal 2:20 (NIV) I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live. Okay, now I am dead. That must mean that I am no longer living life. Yes and no. But Christ lives in me. So, I am dead and Christ has taken over my body and is living in it instead of me. No.

The life I live in the body. Now I see. I am still living life in my body. Since that is true, I must be living it in a dependency on Christ. Yes. I live by faith (Amp: adherence to, reliance on, complete trust) in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Faith, trust, dependence, reliance, and adherence to Jesus is the way for me to die out to my own way of life. It is the way for me to yield to Jesus’ life and ministry. Faith brings me into complete obedience to my Head, Jesus. I start receiving and yielding to the thoughts and feelings that He is sending into my heart and mind.

I reject my body’s input and WAIT for the thoughts and feelings of Jesus. I believe in His way of life and ministry rather than my way of life and ministry. Once I get His thoughts and feelings, I start praying for His power to yield to them in my words and deeds.
