But! I’m Not An Evangelist!
I know that sounds like evangelism. And a lot of those doing the ministry don’t consider themselves called to evangelism. But, the Kingdom of God is growing in Jesus’ ministry.

Once Jesus had a few trainees, He introduced the “go into all” method. Fishermen don’t like the “go into all” method. In a lot of ways it is scarier than quitting your job and starting to follow a leader of a new, un-established ministry.
What Jesus meant by “I will make you fishers of men” was starting to take on some undesirable meaning.

You are going to have to sail around in your spiritual boat, cast out your spiritual net, and see if you can catch some strangers who may not want to be caught. That is a lot like fishing for piranhas. That is the moment when most of us would have turned to our old fishing buddy and said: “Do you think that boat is still parked where we left it?” But, being a lot more committed than we, the trainees took their next step of faith.

This concludes your studying for today.
Just spend some time thinking and praying about
what you have studied so far.
Let Jesus use these truths to change your life.
