We All Know God Doesn’t Like Pride

James 4:6 (NIV) But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

A lot of the time we assume that God hates pride because He considers it a rotten attitude. But, why is it a bad attitude? The answer to that really shows up in the Pharisees and the teachers of the law. They feel, and they want everyone else to feel, that they have reached a position in God that the rest of us would find unobtainable.
