Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to Himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

This is definitely a different type of relationship. The goal in this relationship is the relationship.

We may have got married so as to get some product out of it. But, God doesn’t see it that way. The quality of the relationship is going to measure the success of the people in the relationship. Sacrifices are going to have to be made. Time is going to have to be spent. Intimacy is going to have to be developed. Spiritual growth is going to have to be experienced.

When all is said and done, God is going to have to look at our spouse and like what we have done with them.
