We Must Get Back To The Basics
Keeping our own selves in tiptop spiritual shape is going to take work. It is going to require our “making” time to develop our own spiritual growth. Those of us who are crisis oriented ministers, are going to have a hard time making this a priority.
Has this ever happened to you? We start feeling a little tired all the time. We think we just need to rest a little more. But, something really confusing happens. We take a vacation and come back more fatigued than when we left. Our day off, if we have one, doesn’t seem to help much. We get a checkup and find that there is nothing wrong with us physically. The truth is, there is something wrong with us spiritually.

We are running out of spiritual power. Our spiritual batteries are just about on zero. Why? We are using up everything we get from God on others. The more we minister, the more we need to spend time with God and His Word.
What we are getting ready to look at are basic spiritual requirements that have to stay with us all the days of our lives. When we get too important and start trying something other than Biblical study, that is when we find ourselves going the wrong way.
