Eph 1:18 (NIV) I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.

This is the prayer that everyone needs to pray for themselves and for others. We all need the light of God shining in. There are a lot of types of light in the world.

Some light, such as lamps, helps us see the things around us and some can be looked into, such as a television screen, to see images. God’s light does both. When Christian’s lives are compared with the lives of sinners, people can see the difference God makes. When we read our Bibles, we see all kinds of images and truths that shine directly into our spirits.

Rev 3:18 (NIV) I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
