Mat 5:29-30 (NIV) If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

Here’s Another Way Of Doing It

Mat 10:28 (NIV) Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One Who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Later Jesus takes the eye and hand removal concept and pushes it to the next level. In the above Scripture He goes on to say that it would be better for a person to lose their whole body than go to hell.

He is saying that it sometimes comes down to giving up our whole body just to make it to heaven. If someone demands that you deny that Jesus is your Lord or they will kill you, it is worth it to die. We have to love God more than our own body or life. That is going to take a lot of spiritual growth to be ready for such a challenge.
