1. We can’t keep from demanding our rights and collecting our debts, if we don’t forgive those who sin against us. Mercy flows out of forgiveness.

2. Forgiveness is impossible to accomplish without a revelation of how big a debt God has forgiven us of.

3. Being able to realize how big a debt God has forgiven us of is impossible, if we don’t feel like we were ever that bad.

4. We are never going to see how bad we were as long as we don’t allow the Holy Spirit to show us how bad sin is.

5. All our self-esteem, self-righteousness, and self-confidence have to go so we can see how much God saved us from.

6. As God shows us the greatness of the debt we have been forgiven of, we can feel a great pain enter into our heart. We have been protecting ourselves from seeing the great debt we owed. This keeps us from being merciful to those around us.
