When we have apple trees bearing bad apples, we are still dealing with an apple tree. When we have a person teaching Biblical principles who isn’t living them, we still have a person teaching Christian concepts. That can be confusing to many people. When we start working with people who are approaching Biblical principles from a human perspective, we are seeing godly things taken into humanistic systems.

Pharisees, teachers of the law, Sadducees, and people like them were approaching the things of God from humanistic methods. Their brains were used to figure out what God meant in His Word. Their human reasoning developed all the systems they were requiring people to follow. They didn’t care about what God wanted. They weren’t interested in building a relationship with God. They liked being in charge of all God’s work. They were perfectly happy running things their way. So, when God came to earth to set things straight, they didn’t like the changes He was making.
