Our Past, Present, And Future Sins Forgiven
Rom 4:6-8 (NIV) David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will NEVER count against him.”
This brings us to a perfection that is provided by grace. But, it doesn’t measure up to the perfection of the Father. |
If we are going to be perfect like our heavenly Father is perfect, we are going to have to DO perfection. We are going to have to live a life of perfection in relationship with the people around us. Good luck with that.
However, we are faced with a choice. Stop sinning against those around us or go on sinning against those around us. If we sin against someone around us, can we just say to them: “Sorry about that. However, it is credited to my account as righteousness.” The grace of God has credited it to our account. But, we have still sinned against one of God’s children. Can we just brush it off because no one is perfect? |
