Authority
Mat 7:28-29 (NIV) When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at His teaching, because He taught as One Who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
1 Pet 4:11 (NIV) If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, SO THAT in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Jesus can speak with authority because HE is God. We don’t have that position. How are we going to speak “as one speaking the very words of God? ” By getting God’s words before we speak. If we don’t get our words and our strength from God first, we are going to say something or do something that isn’t from God. If we get our words and strength from God, we will be fed first. Then we will start living what God has spoken into us. We will be filled with strength to do God’s work because we waited on Him. We aren’t God’s answer to mankind. God is God’s answer to mankind. He must be moving in and through us before we address the issues of others. Those who do otherwise, end up hurting themselves and others.
