It can all start with a little lie that doesn’t seem that important to us or anyone else. None of us start out being habitual liars when we first get involved in lying. It is difficult to see these small, insignificant lies as being that important. What we don’t understand is that things like this grow over time.

Col 3:8-10 (NIV) But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

For the life and ministry of Jesus to flow through you, you must be all about the truth and all about love.

Eph 4:14-15 (NIV) Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their DECEITFUL scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, WE WILL IN ALL THINGS GROW UP INTO HIM Who is the Head, that is, Christ.

You must pray for Jesus’ incredible wisdom so you will be able to tell everyone the truth but be able to do it in a loving way. That will begin to open the life and ministry of Jesus to you.
