God has treated us with such awesome love, grace, and mercy. Now He wants Who He is to pass through us to the rest of the world. He wants people to see how His plan works; and He wants us to exhibit it in such a way that others can see how great it is. It is a part of our meekness transparency as we let people see Him through our lives.

But it goes beyond them just seeing Who He is. He can flow through us in such a way that they can EXPERIENCE Who He is. Mercy takes it to the next level. He isn’t just asking us to give them OUR mercy. He wants us to be merciful with His mercy. He has a mercy that far exceeds anything we can deal out. There were two blind men that wanted Jesus to show them mercy. Let’s see how the mercy of Jesus works.

Mat 9:27-31 (NIV) As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, calling out, “Have MERCY on us, Son of David!” When He had gone indoors, the blind men came to Him, and He asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you;” and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” But they went out and spread the news about Him all over that region.

Jesus’ mercy changed these two men’s lives. One minute their lives were very limited and restricted. The next minute they were totally changed and able to see the world around them. No doctor or hospital bills. No recovery time or medicine side effects. Just instantly healed and blessed by Jesus. What a merciful thing for Jesus to do.
