Mat 5:14-16 (NIV) You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.


UNHEALTHY EYES
There are three major causes of people who have unhealthy eyes that cannot see the light of God:


1. Satan Blinding A Person’s Eyes (Mind):
2 Cor 4:4 (NIV) The god of this age has BLINDED the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot SEE the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, Who is the image of God.

This is the most common condition we all run into. Satan is blinding their eyes trying to keep them from coming to God.
This condition can only be cured by the Father drawing a person.

John 6:44 (NIV) No one can come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

If we proclaim the gospel to a person the Father is not drawing, it will not sink into their hearts. The gospel will mean nothing to them. It isn’t until the Father opens their heart that they become receptive to the gospel message. In the parable of the Sower and the Seed, Jesus illustrates this condition.
