Explain “Everything” To Me

Matthew 19:27 (NIV) Peter answered Him, “We have left EVERYTHING to follow You! What then will there be for us?”

This doesn’t sound like someone who has a house. The thing about God is He knows that we need these things. He understands that we have responsibilities to our families and to many other people. He is the One Who put these standards into our lives. He just wants us to change sources.

Whatever He asks us to do, He wants us to trust Him to supply the resources for the assignment. Just because Peter quit his job didn’t mean he no longer had money coming in.

Peter left everything. But, he didn’t lose everything.
