You Messed Up Again
As we open up these Beatitude issues, the Holy Spirit will start pointing out a lot of errors in our daily lives. We just have to trust God that He will get us to a point where this magnitude of correction isn’t needed quite so much. It seems like it; but, He isn’t trying to perfect our behavior. He is trying to teach us how to listen to the Father and yield to Him as our thought source.

2 Cor 10:5 (NKJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Phil 4:8 (NIV) Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
We think wrong things, say wrong things, and do wrong things. All of this failure represents aspects of our character. The Holy Spirit is trying to get us to connect to the power source that changes all this. Once we become spiritual salt, we have the ability to “be” on the inside and influence others on the outside.

Where do we start in getting the Beatitudes to influence our lives? How do we yield our lives to the beginning and continuing elements of these components? As we have already seen, it isn’t by trying harder. Nor does it come by making up our mind that this is the way we are going to live.

This concludes your studying for today.
