Shine The Light Toward Everyone

Mat 13:4 (NIV) As he [the sower] was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

Mat 13:19 (NIV) When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

Since we don’t always know who is being drawn by the Father, the Great Commission requires that we present the gospel message to everyone. Once this type of person hears it, they don’t reject it; they just don’t understand it.

That lack of understanding may look like rejection because they can be very abusive; but, they don’t have any idea what they are resisting. That is why Jesus prayed this prayer on the cross.

Luke 23:34 (NIV) Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up His clothes by casting lots.

1 Cor 2:14 (NIV) The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he CANNOT understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
