Rom 2:23-24 (NIV) You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? As it is written: “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

We can do the same thing in Christianity. People who look at our lives must see Christ living in and ministering through us. Sometimes we are the only information they have concerning what Christianity and God are all about. A Christian should not be satisfied with the fact that they are going to heaven. They should want to influence others to go with them.

They will want others to experience what they have experienced. We are the salt that influences their lives toward Christ. We are the light of the world that shows them how great God is.

Mat 5:16 (NIV) In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

This is a person who is obeying the commandments of the law. However, they aren’t doing it by means of human effort. Instead, they are living by the power of the Holy Spirit. Those who know how and are living by the power of the Spirit are ready to learn how to do the ministry of God.
