Mat 5:21-22 (NIV) You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ (Amp: speaks contemptuously and insultingly) is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Godliness

This Is Going To Be Murder
Anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. If we murder someone, we are subject to judgment. And, if we are angry with someone, we are subject to judgment. Why? It is all about relationships.

2 Cor 5:20 (NIV) We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, AS THOUGH GOD were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
We have a relationship with God. The lost have a relationship with us. And, through us the lost have a relationship to God. Anger, speaking contemptuously and insultingly, and calling someone a fool blocks off the message of God to the lost. Not only that, it can be interpreted by the lost as being a good representation of what Christianity is all about. That would not be good. This is how God looks at things. He is in love with us and our neighbors.

Phil 2:4 (NIV) Each of you should look NOT ONLY to your own interests, but ALSO to the interests of others.
