Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Nobody Understands Me
1 Cor 10:13 (NIV) No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

We humans typically feel that our spiritual struggles are unique. We often think that no one understands or can identify with the things we are going through. This Scripture is refuting this concept. Being poor in spirit means we will let the Holy Spirit take us through the same disciple training system Jesus used.
Jesus’ training of His disciples while on earth is the exact training system everyone needs. No one is so unique that they don’t fit into it. We go through and need help in all the same areas they did. That is what makes this approach Jesus used so powerful. It deals with temptations that we are all going to face head on. He didn’t miss anything in presenting this training.

By the time we have been trained through the more mature parts of this system, we will have been made skillful in all the issues any human will ever have to deal with. This prepares you and everyone else for the difficulties of life; and this prepares your ministry for being able to deal with all the difficulties of life.
