Knowledgeable Rejecters Of Jesus
Mat 7:6 (NIV) Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
There is a different attitude found in some people’s hearts. They aren’t sitting on the fence trying to figure out whether or not Jesus is real. There are no questions in their mind. Their heart is hard and their mind is made up. God has already given them more than enough opportunities to come to Him. He has shown them an incredible amount of proof that He is real and loving. They know Who He is, how great His character is, and they still decided against Him. They now hate Him and all His people. They don’t want to come to Him and they don’t want anyone else to come to Him either (Romans 1:18-32; Hebrews 6:4-8).

Mat 23:13 (NIV) Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
This is the kind of people Jesus was dealing with in the Pharisees. They would ask questions, but, not from sincerity. They were trying to trap Him. We have to deal with these kinds of people as well. God helps us get the plank out of our eye, we humble our self before others, and we run into a dog or a hog. That is where our attitude has to change. John the Baptist shows us how this works. He is guiding, teaching, and baptizing people. Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came out to be baptized.
