I Am Doing Weakness Exercises
2 Cor 12:9-10 (NIV) But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, SO THAT Christ’s power may rest on me.
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. We talked about the transparency of meekness. Then we looked at the transferring characteristics of mercy. Through meekness people can see the things of God. |
Then, through mercy people can experience the things of God. The process of sanctification PURIFYING a life makes these two characteristics (meekness and mercy) function.
The things that keep Jesus from shining through meekness and from flowing through mercy are impurities. Impurities in glass obstructs light. Impurities in pipes obstructs liquids. Corrosion on electrical contacts obstructs the flow of electricity. Sanctification removes these impurities in our life. The more the impurities are removed, the more we gain a pure life and ministry, and the more we and the people around us see God. Our ministry is able to show them the God we see. |
