None of us like rejection. We want people to like us. We will even lie sometimes just to keep from losing a friend. A lot of opportunities to minister present themselves and we can’t quite open our mouths to give everyone the message they need.

Jesus ministered everywhere. He dominated the conversation with spiritual things and still grew in influence and popularity. It wasn’t usually with the prestigious, influential, powerful people. Most often it was with people that no one considered important. So, what created the persecution Jesus faced?
