Worldly Christians
1 Cor 3:1-3 (NIV) Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly--mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?

Heb 5:11-12 (NIV) We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!

But Jesus was ready. He made sure He had done everything needed before He started His ministry. We really need to find out exactly what is needed and make sure we have it.
For example, do Scriptures just naturally pop into your head the moment you are tempted? Me either. How many ministers set out to do the ministry and get shot out of the saddle before they hardly even get out of the ranch gate. What was missing in their training?

In my training a lot was taught that I never really used in ministry. I needed spiritual growth and warfare training. How does one put on all the armor of God? A lot of these issues weren’t taught. They felt that these things should be taught in church. But, no one realized that, if you don’t teach the ministers in seminary about spiritual growth and victorious Christian living, the ministers won’t be able to teach it to the church either. Consequently, these vital principles got left out of all spiritual training at church and in seminary. This is where the Holy Spirit comes in to solve this problem.
