I Think I Will Decide What To Do Today
God also has to be in control of our day. The Word belongs to Him and our lives belong to Him. Each day’s ministry has to be God ordained and controlled. Once we turn our message and our ministry over to Him, we are well on our way to being a Jesus-trained disciple. If the Holy Spirit is in control of what we say and what we do, we and those we minister to will be safe.
John 10:14-16 (NIV) I am the good shepherd; I know My sheep and My sheep know Me--just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father--and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. |
If the Holy Spirit is not in control of our life and ministry, no one is safe.
John 10:11-13 (NIV) I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. We won't be any good for ourselves or for those around us. The Holy Spirit helps us cease to be self-centered and defective in our character. He helps us love ourselves and love those we associate with. With Him we start living life in such a way that everyone is blessed and benefitted. |
