I Know You Believe You Understand What You Think I Said
The knowledge in our brains under the anointing of the Holy Spirit will produce understanding. Understanding is knowing what the original meanings were when the Holy Spirit caused that Scripture to be written. Knowing what the Bible says needs the additional information of what it means. If we are left to our own opinions as to what a Scripture means, we will find ourselves heading in a totally wrong direction. Those who sincerely want to go the direction that God wants them to go, will want to give up their own opinions and let God tell them what the verse really means.

One thing we can count on, the meaning to one Scripture will not contradict the meaning of another. If that happens, it is time to take both verses and start exposing them to God. It isn’t a problem with the verse. It is a problem with our understanding of the MEANING for the verse.
At this point, you have heard a lot of sermons, maybe read a lot of books, and talked to a lot of Christians. During your exposure to all these opinions and those opinions you have formed for yourself, you may have come to some conclusions that aren’t Biblical. EVERY TIME you start studying a verse or passage, make sure you recheck your interpretation to see if the Holy Spirit agrees. There can be areas where you are having spiritual problems because you have a misinterpretation of a Biblical truth. This keeps you from being able to minister in the lives of others in that area; AND it might cause you to teach them things that aren’t Biblical, spiritual truths. |
