Mat 6:10 (NIV) Your kingdom come

Two Solutions
Mat 6:10a Your kingdom come.

Asking our heavenly Father to cause His kingdom to come does two things.

First, it is asking for as many as are willing to be brought into God’s kingdom.

Luke 17:20-21 (NIV) Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is, ’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”

Jesus and the disciples went around telling people that the Kingdom of God was near. All a person had to do was let it come into their heart and this prayer would be answered for them. Our prayer for God’s Kingdom to come incorporates a request for God’s Kingdom to replace Satan’s kingdom in our life and in the lives of all who accept Jesus as their Lord, Savior, and King.
Second, it is asking for God to set up His Kingdom as soon as possible.

Mat 24:14 (NIV) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

The objective of God is to get in, all who are going to be a part of His Kingdom. The process whereby this is accomplished is through the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom. Our commission is to go into all the world and preach that gospel.

When we pray for God’s Kingdom to come, God gives us the power to accomplish that job. Asking God to set up His Kingdom as soon as possible causes us to be equipped to get the gospel out at a higher rate of speed. All of this is a vital issue of prayer.
