How are these people so bad? Their objective is to steal, kill, and destroy. That is somewhat of a character flaw, don’t you think? Coming through Jesus is the only way to be a TRUE, good, kind, loving person. Those who get the opportunity to come to Jesus and then reject Him become dogs, hogs, and wolves in sheep’s clothing. Their objective is to steal, kill, and destroy.

When we come to Jesus, it not only saves us from our past and present sins. It keeps us from getting worse. We were heading into a life of sin that was going to be unspeakable. People often have no idea how much God is influencing those who have not had a chance to come to Jesus. God is holding on to their lives and keeping them from going all out for evil.

Rom 1:28 (NIV) Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

God turned them loose and they went straight into a depraved mind. As you can see, God was holding them back from a depraved mind. Then when they had adequate knowledge of God and refused to keep it, God released them to become what they would have automatically become. The only reason they didn’t go right into a depraved mind in the beginning was because the Holy Spirit was making them miserable.

You need to see this work of God and trust Him with the organization of His body and churches. We cannot organize it and structure it in such a way that we can keep people from going back into sin. We can’t bring them into organizational accountability and make them live a righteous life. The stronger our organizations and religious structure becomes, the less people put their faith, dependency, reliance, and trust in a personal relationship with God. They start looking to us for protection rather than to God.
