Everything Jesus Told Us To Do
Mat 28:19-20 (NIV) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
We all know He isn’t saying that the things said in the rest of the Bible have no value. It is obvious they are a part of the inspired Word of God. However, all the rest of the Bible gets its validation from what Jesus said. Here is an example of the difference.
1 Cor 7:10 (NIV) To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband.

But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife. To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her.
Even though Paul was speaking under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he still kept it clear when he was and when he wasn’t teaching what the Lord said. We must understand that, when Jesus speaks, that is the governing word on all of eternity. His words MUST be our first priority for preparing for eternity. And, His words must be our top priority, when training disciples. Everyone must bow their life and ministry before Jesus and His commandments.
