Mat 6:33 (NIV) But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Here is our usual question. If we are going to get our physical and financial needs met by God and God alone, how do we go about doing it? The answer is incredibly powerful. Seek first God’s kingdom and God’s righteousness.

Instead of doing what we usually do when we have a physical or financial need, we drop everything and spend our entire time with God.

God is asking us to run to the Bible, spend a lot of time in prayer, read books He points out, listen to sermons and music He selects, and get other Christians involved through prayer and counsel. This is an intense and vital moment in our life.

Worry can keep us from doing this or from doing it long enough. Unless we immediately jump into a full-fledged seeking of His kingdom and righteousness, we will find ourselves too weak spiritually to endure to the end of the seeking assignment. When should we quit? In most cases it ends up being somewhat of a lifestyle. God often works a miracle so as to enable the person to be able to spend a lot more time with Him and His ministry than ever before.
